About the exhibition
Second sitting brings together new canvases by four painters who left the studio for a long stretch and came back. Each of them returned to a portrait or a still life they had set aside years before.
Coming back to the same chair
The exhibition is hung in pairs: the first attempt beside the second sitting. The gap between them is sometimes ten years and sometimes ten days.
