Clara Nogueira paints the sky over the Tagus from the same rooftop in Chiado, at the same hour, for weeks at a time. Her canvases are small and built up in thin layers, so the light seems to sit behind the paint.
She painted the roof studies in Amber hour across September and October 2026, and returns in Second sitting with a portrait she first began in 2016.
